Venture outside of Newcastle's city centre to the trendy neighbourhood of Heaton. We'll take you on a culinary journey through NE6, uncovering it's history and sampling some fantastic dishes including a peek into the kitchen of a Michelin Guide restaurant.

Our journey winds along Chillingham Road and Heaton Road, two parallel arteries of the community where cafés, restaurants, bakeries, and neighbourhood eateries sit shoulder-to-shoulder with vintage shops, bottle bars, and family-run grocers. It’s an area that has grown into one of the city’s most exciting food destinations.

Each stop on the tour has been handpicked for its individuality and passion. One of our visits is to a restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide 2025, offering elevated dining in a warm, neighbourhood setting that captures Heaton’s spirit perfectly.

The tour has the same relaxed, modern feel as our much-loved Hoults Yard experience, but with its own distinctive rhythm. Trendy yet unpretentious, Heaton strikes that delicate balance between contemporary tastes and community roots.
