Fall down the rabbit hole with us and discover the most mouth-watering cantonese fusion dishes that the North East has to offer. The team are increible, managing to mix traditional Chinese food with fresh regional produce - good times and good food come together in this funky establishment!

Lindsay Brothers at The Grainger Market

Lindsay Brothers provide quality fresh fish and is in our opinion the best fishmongers in the whole of Newcastle.

Kiln Ouseburn

An industrial Mediterranean streetfood cafe with contemporary ceramic studio. Great craft beers, great artisan coffee and fantastic people. Here we sample Mezze platters, including their own homemade hummus!

The French Quarter

The French Quarter is a French restaurant & wine bar. It has a casual, sociable atmosphere where you are invited to experience great food, try new wines, shop from the deli and share their love of all things French.

Blackfriars Restaurant

Blackfriars Restaurant stands within a 13th century former medieval friary. The restaurant is also home to the oldest dinning room in the UK!
They are extremely passionate about sourcing the very best local, fresh and sustainable produce around.
Steeped in fascinating history, renown for its warm welcome and not to mention voted Taste Of England by the North East Tourism Awards, it’s not hard to see why this restaurant is one of our favourites on the tour.

Dobson & Parnell

Dobson & Parnell offers guests a casual fine dining experience right within the heart of Newcastle’s vibrant Quayside.

The restaurant has recently been included in 2019’s top 10 list of restaurants in Newcastle & Gateshead. They also made it into The Michelin Guide 2019!

Whilst visiting Dobson & Parnell on our tour, you will get a taste of what the restaurant has to offer & we hope it leaves you eager to return back for more!

  Kaltur Highbridge Street

The original Kaltur wine bar and restaurant. A special small and cosy sherry, wine bar & restaurant with an open kitchen inspired by the busy, quality and intimate restaurants and bars all around Spain, where the owners come from.

The cheeseboards here are, in our opinion on of the best in town! good job that this little hidden gem is included on our "Ultimate Cheese & Wine" Tour.

Snackwallah The Grainger Market

Snackwallah is the most amazing Indian street food vendor that is based right within the heart of The Grainger Market. These guys are an all Vegan street food eaterie and most famous for their own version of Pani Puri. A warm welcome is always guaranteed from this family run stall. We love them!

Barrio Comida, Durham

The historic city of Durham isn't famed for its Mexican links, but this restaurant is certainly changing that now! It's really well known for its authentic food coming in directly from Mexico, and also for the fantastic relaxed atmosphere, what could be more Mexican than a cocktail and great food? Some of the food types on offer are quite unknown to a lot of Brits, so it's fantastic to be able to test them out!

Miso, Ouseburn

If Japanese dining is your thing, then Miso will have just the thing for you! This former music practice room is now owned by an ex-DJ turned chef who has been inspired by his trips to Asia and Japan. First this started as a food van, and was so successful that Ouseburn is now it's home - and, as a pretty cool and swanky part of Newcastle, it makes sense to have a hipster Japanese restaurant at your right here!

Coarse Durham

Coarse is Durham's first tasting menu restaurant. Opened in September of 2022, this place is one of the hottest places to dine in the city at the moment!

Old Toms Gin Bar Durham

Old Toms Gin Bar is full of character, charm and curiosity. Set in a Tudor building from the 1500-1600’s, the bar specialises in Gins, Wine, Cheeses and Charcuterie – and features a peculiar collection of decor from all corners of the globe.
