From the freshly caught oysters of the Lindisfarne Islands, to the hustle and bustle of the meat stalls in the Grainger Market, we will take you on a culinary journey. Our professional and friendly tour guides are there to point out historical and cultural points of interest as you soak up the distinctive atmosphere of the city in true northern style!

We are passionate about food and history and our walking food tours ensure you get the exclusive details and experience. We will make sure you taste and see the most reputable delights the region has to offer. Its worth mentioning that all of tours include all food and drinks in the price!

All of the tours are on foot, except Northumberland, where you are driven by us. You can certainly get a personal experience as you get into all of the exclusive restaurants which are booked months in advance, plus someone to explain all the food to you - a fun way to learn some fancy facts to break out at a dinner party!

You will meet one of our fully trained tour guides at the meeting point (info found on your choice of tour). They will then escort you around to each eatery on foot. You will stop at 5-6 eateries, sampling a various dishes and beverages at each destination. Each destination offers a small but ample portion, and we promise you will be full and satisfied by the end of the food tour! Each tour takes approximately 3 hours, and because light walking is required, Triple A Food Tours do recommend that you wear sensible footwear and attire. It's worth mentioning that all food & drinks are included in the price for our tours!

At each of the destinations you'll have people from the establishment, plus your guide, who will explain the food to you while you enjoy it. We have sweet, savoury, and liquid on offer, so get your fill! Our tours are certainly a great way to try as much food as possible from as many places in one day.

Alcohol will be served at some of the eateries. A non alcohol substitute will be available. 

Any customers that have any specific dietary requirements should contact us prior to booking.

Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to your tour. After this time, we can not offer a refund.

In the event of weather conditions that we deem unsafe to walk in, Triple A Food Tours reserve the right to cancel/postpone a tour at any time (don't worry, we travel in all weather conditions so it would need to be pretty terrible for us to cancel). In this instance, as much notice would be given as possible and all guests would be entitled to a full refund.

So, you can book with us here for any of our tours. Each tour tells you where and when to turn up somewhere, eg, meeting at Monument metro station in Newcastle at 10:30am. 

Our guide will be there to meet you, and once all of your group is there, your guide will just start to walk you through the city or location that you have chosen! The route will be different depending on when and which restaurants you're visiting, and this changes every day, just to keep it exciting for everyone!

Our guides are really helpful, so at the end we hope you can feel free to ask them any questions about getting back to where you need to be, and they will be able to give you a rough time estimate of the end of the tour before it has even begun. They are generally around 4 hours, although some tours are labelled as all day.
